Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – subject to change based on project assignments/deadlines
Base Pay Range: $150,000 - $165,000
Travel: 0-10%
Job Summary
The Associate General Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, working closely with the General Counsel and business leaders to support the Company’s transactional, operational, and litigation matters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work directly with the General Counsel on most, if not all, transactions, including acquisitions, third-party management and asset management arrangements, development projects, financing and refinancing, legal due diligence, entity formation and maintenance, and joint venture structuring.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial, real estate, and corporate agreements.
Oversee litigation intake and manage the Company’s litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel.
Serve as the lead in-house attorney on operational matters requiring legal input, including customer disputes and other claims.
Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing.
3+ years of relevant legal experience, with substantial transactional experience.
Experience managing litigation and working with outside counsel.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
